A sculptural and playful shelving unit, designed in the 1950s by French-Hungarian designer Mathieu Mategot.
Mathieu Mategot was a pioneering mid-century designer, best known for his innovative metal-working techniques. Mategot was the first person to combine metal tubing with perforated sheet metal - a process he called "rigitulle." Made entirely from powder-coated perforated sheet metal, this shelving unit is an excellent example of this signature process. Its available in a number of playful colors, and can be installed on its own or in a series to create a larger shelving unit.
Produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. Certified authentic and produced to the designer's original specifications.
