A sculptural coat rack, designed in the 1950s by French-Hungarian designer Mathieu Mat_got.
Mathieu Mategot was a pioneering mid-century designer, best known for his innovative metal-working techniques. Mategot was the first person to combine metal tubing with perforated sheet metal - a process he called "rigitulle."
This three-pronged coat rack is a wonderful example of his playful, and joyous designs. Made from brass and powder-coated steel, the coat rack comes equipped with mounting hardware.
Produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. Certified authentic and produced to the designer's original specifications. -
