- Care Instructions
Seoul-based designer Sisan Lee majored in Interior Design at Konkuk University Global Campus in Chungju, where he became intrigued by different forms and textures of stones.
For his "Inlay" series, Lee combines leather and iron plates - two contrasting materials - onto a single surface. Made from two individual pieces, they can be used separately or together. Over time, the leather on the upper part of the furniture will darken significantly compared to the leather on the side part of the cut section, due to the user's contact. Through such changes and contrasts, we wanted to show the relationship between these two very different materials.
Along with contrast between different two materials, contrast within the same material is core to this work. As time passes, the intention becomes clearer.
Constructed from steel and natural leather, this product is made-to-order in the designer's Seoul-based studio.
