  • A playful set of steel tables, designed in the 1950s by a pioneering French-Hungarian designer.

Mathieu Mategot was a pioneering mid-century designer, best known for his innovative metal-working techniques. Mategot was the first person to combine metal tubing with perforated sheet metal - a process he called "rigitulle."

Made from powder-coated steel tubing with perforated metal tops, the tables are an excellent example of this signature process. Inspired by kangaroos, the smaller (Joey) table can be removed and used as a drinks table, and returned to the larger (Mother) table for storage. The tables come with brass feet, and are available in a number of playful color combinations.

Produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. Certified authentic and produced to the designer's original specifications.

  • 26.8" L x 19.7" W x 16.5" H
