An icon of Danish modernism, this lamp was first produced in 1968.
The Semi Pendant was designed in 1968 as a product of the partnership between the two architects, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. Semi's distinctive arch-shaped shade is derived from the negative space formed by two touching circles. This elegant pendant achieved great success in the 1980's and became, at that time, the world-wide best-selling Danish design. The lacquered, hand-spun Aluminum shade creates a diffused, cone-shaped light - perfect over a dining table or kitchen. Available in three sizes - Small (11"D), Medium (18.5"D) and Large (23.6"D) - and in a variety of colors. Ceiling canopy included.
Produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. A certified authentic design, produced to the designers' original specifications.
